We are enjoying a nice and warm day today with temps making it into the middle 60's. Overcast skies right now will give way to rain late tonight and into tomorrow. I expect rain to remain much of the day Sunday, with a few snow flakes mixing in late in the day for southern Illinois. Rainfall amounts only for later tonight & Sunday will range from 1-2'', with most of that falling on Sunday. The temperatures will be another big story. We will have an early morning high in the upper 50's, dropping into the low 40's by afternoon with the passage of the cold front.
Monday will also feature rain, just lighter, across the area. Once again, some mixing with snow is possible early on Monday especially over southern Illinois. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 40's if we are lucky. There will also be a chilly north wind on Monday & Tuesday making feels like temps in the 30's. Tuesday will feature rain and maybe a mix of snow in some areas. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 40's.
